Is this ready for a replacement? Meaning, is that what it should look like and all I need to do is find a bumper that is supposed to fit a '91 YJ and I'm good to go?

Or is what's there not "standard" and I need to do further investigation?

Thank you

I'm not sure what that means...I'm looking to buy an aftermarket bumper, probably winch ready, but I have no idea if what is on there right now is ready to "receive" it.

Is this YJ just lacking a front bumper or is there something aftermarket on there currently that will make just buying one and installing it difficult?

It looks like the bumper mount nuts are still inside the frame rails.

Cancel the Chilton's order and get the FSM from Resources here. The factory parts books are there also.

I'm assuming that the mount nuts being still inside means I'm good to go. I failed to find "Resources" on this site...did check out the Amazon store, was surprised to see it was a TJ store?

BY saying find it "here" was here supposed to be a link? I did find the FSM on this site:

https://www.bishauto.com/literature/1991-jeep-body-chassis-electrical-repair-shop-manual

I'm hesitant to shell out the cash because it just says Jeep, not any model info.

It looks pretty bad ass, in a good way. I bet they had an aftermarket front bumper on there and it got mangled. You can easily get a used stock front bumper and bolt it on. Try deadjeep.com or eBay.

There is no bumper on there now, the round bar is part of the stock frame. Any bumper for a YJ factory or aftermarket should go on just fine. By the way, the front fenders rear fender flares and rock sliders are all Metalcloak. Good stuff, it’s what I plan on getting. Also a winch can be added without a bumper, if your local law allows.
