Hello, I am having trouble figuring out what route I should go regarding the clutch line for my AX-15 swap. From what I've researched it's most common to just take the later external slave and master with the stock plastic line and install it. One issue I'm having is the eye on the master cylinder rod is smaller than the old one, and will not fit my stock clutch pedal. Along with the bolt holes being spaced wider (Not really an issue to me). I much prefer the stock casted master instead of the newer plastic master. What I would prefer, is to use the old master with the stock steel hard line. Has anyone been able to do this? I know I could make it work with an AN -3 line and fittings, but i prefer the sleeker look of the stock steel line. I've tried finding a quick connect to female 7/16-20 adapter, but I can't find anything.

You might try taking a look ay Novak transmission. They have a premium quality slave cylinder that is rebuild able and a line kit for the YJ. Also sell clutch master cylinders. They are not pre bled systems, but what I am hearing is many of the pre bled’s are poor quality. Worth a look anyway.

take a look on mcmaster-carr web site, i think they have the connection that you are looking for.

Hello, I figured I would give an update to what I did. In the end I went with the stainless AN line and fittings. Although no one makes a kit for this conversion, so I had to make one of my own.

The kit I put together was almost half of the price of the kits Advance Adapters sells. I went with the All-star Performance line for two reasons, one it was cheaper, and two it had an extra 6" to work with (I've read complaints of people saying the line Advance Adapters provide is a little short making it difficult to work with).

I've also read people had difficulties bleeding these slaves and masters, with the method below it was no problem. I first began by attaching the line to the master (not attached to slave) I then filled the master and stuck the open end of the line below the brake fluid. After manually pumping until no air bubbles was seen,I slightly depressed the clutch pedal (To prevent fluid leaking out), and attached the open end to the slave. At this point the slave was out of the vehicle. I then held the slave above the master with the bleeder at the highest point. I manually pushed in the slave rod with the bleeder open, then closed the bleeder and allowed the slave to draw fluid into itself. I repeated that two times and installed into bell housing. After that, did the normal routine bleeding (Pump three times and crack bleeder) for about three times.

The pedal has fantastic feel, and the clutch engages perfectly. So in the end, the stock 88 Master cylinder is compatible with a 94 slave cylinder.
