I have a manual, 94' Yj with the high output inline 6, that's been my baby for over 20years and have shockingly to most, decided to part ways with her. She's been garage kept since I got her, has only about 104k on the odometer, and her gauges all work, even though her gas gage is weird sometimes. She is truly in amazing shape, and has only had about 2k miles added since she got a paint job 12 years ago, so she's still very pretty. New oversized tires and an old 3" body lift that's been on her since I got her round her out. I've been looking online for the last 2 years and see such a wide range of prices listed in the for sale ads, I have no idea where to start! Any advice, and recommendations where to list her would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you for the reply. Tires aren't new, but look new and have very little mileage. No top, have doors but not windows.

We just bought s vehicle off FB market place. IMO, FB is as worthless as FBM place. Scammers, people who never respond to you request for contact info. here in NM I say 70% of them are "salvaged" POS'es from chop shops. Craigs list is still better IMO even if it costs $5 for an ad. Theres also "Bring a trailer" and ebay. I gotta say Im a used vehicle junkie and after considering another TJ, Im still watching vehicles on FB and CL that have been listed for months and months with no sale. Money is tight for many and it may be slow going. Just dont post pics of the thing covered in mud and buried up to the dorrs like some of the kids on these forums. Guess they thing showing how bad its taken care of and treated is a selling point.

Yeah, I posted in Marketplace for like 2 sec, and got lots of, I can buy a used jeep for 4k comments and pulled it down. I feel like because most random people wouldn't understand the difference between the I6 and everything else, I was hoping there was a place I didn't know of that catered to Jeep enthusiasts.

if you have a local jeep club in you town, let them know you want to sell. i would question whether the tire are good as long as you had them on.good luck

I think regardless of where you post it your gonna get the "is it for sale" bit. Its pretty much a mixed bag with buyers and them telling you I can buy one for half your price. First off 90% of them arent worth a 1/4 of what the sellers want due to them being completely beat to shit and second if they thought they could buy one for half of your asking price then why did they bother to call or contact you? Just ignore them. Its hard to tell how nice your is but from the thumbnail id think $8500 isnt out of line.

I would skim the FB mktplc for some time each day when I was shopping for an older Jeep. 1994 YJ in good condition popped up and I was over there within 2 hours to check it out in person, bought it the next day. I sold my 2015 Triumph moto on FB mktplc. You'll have to ignore 99 people for one real buyer, but you can get what you want if you have the patience.

I paid $6,000 for my 93 two weeks ago in Oklahoma. My paint isn't new but my engine is, my transfer case was serviced, new seals ECT looks brand new. No frame rust. Both diffs were serviced came with a bikini top and hard top. Has a locker in the rear, interior is nice & ac works, rough country 2.5" lift. Nice radio with MB quart front speakers, Rockford fosgate rear speakers in custom boxes. 5 brand new Toyo AT tires. Don't know if that helps but that's my area, bought it off Facebook marketplace

I thought I got a lemon because suddenly it started running like crap turned out today I noticed that the map sensor wasn't plugged in good. Snapped it in and now she purrs like a kitten . Only after I replaced the fuel pump and a few other sensors 🤦🏻‍♂️

An old economics 101 theorem states that the value of almost anything is what someone else will pay for it. I have found that the website Bring a Trailer, an automobile auction site, is a next to perfect source for valuing YJ's. When I signed up, I set up a parameter to only send me emails when YJs come up for auction. Since last September, 28 Yjs have appeared. Each listing is very comprehensive including access to a Carfax Report and each has typically over 100 pictures and often a video. The email I receive is when the auction begins and runs for 7 days. I store them in a BaT mailbox in my email app because at the end of the auction, the eventual sale price is listed. Thus, I can go back over a period of months and see what they have all sold for.

Almost all of these YJs are, for the most part stock with minimal upgrades and/or alterations. For those of us who value and appreciate the stock versions, it is gratifying that they, almost without exception, sell for more than ones that have been altered. As an example, the highest price YJ I've seen on this website, so far, was a 1988 5-speed Sahara, 150K miles, with a beautiful gun-metal grey exterior. It sold late last year for $24,000.
