when I spoke to ucf, they told me the bottom of the pan was 1.5" higher but ½" of that was due to it being smooth and it should only raise the trans 1". But I didn't measure before I installed it, so I have no way to verify. Regardless, it's tough as hell.

Guess Im not following. With the 1" motor mount lift, the engine and trans are still at the factory angle, just 1" higher. Drain/fill levels should be unaffected.. Unless I'm missing something?

1" BL, 1" motor mount lift, 1.5" extra clearance skid plate. Everything lines up perfectly. Fan is centered in the shroud, gear shifter back to stock height. I really wanted OME suspension and 33s. So it was body lift or sawzall. The gap doesn't bother me. That flimsy stock gas tank skid...

Can't tummy tuck without a body lift. I guess you could cut the transmission hump out, but 1" body lift is way easier. Stock skid plates suck. period ;-)

I like my 4.88 gears. I like them with the 31x10.50s, I like them with the 33x12.50s. Still a turd , but it will hold freeway speeds in 5th and climb most mountain passes in 4th. I almost installed 4.56 gears, ultimately glad I went with 4.88s. My little 4 banger Jeep will do 90mph on 31s or 33s...

That's true, but unless you're doing some SERIOUS off roading, it will never matter. How's the ride and handling? Are you in the no track bars camp now?

My take: Slotted and drilled rotors are not good if you actually take your jeep offroad. the holes and slots can get packed with mud, dust, crud and crap. all that stuff will end up embedded in your pads, which will in turn, grind into your rotors and cause poor braking and premature brake...
