Hi all,
New to Jeeps, but not brand new to wrenching. Just got a 95 YJ for the daughter, 4.0l, manual, with 100k. But, the transfer case has gone out. I've done some searching, and from what I can tell, the Cherokee and Wrangler YJ both had the NP231. But, I haven't been able to find out for sure if they're swap-able. There are quite a few Cherokees at my local pick n pull, but no Wranglers - if I pull an NP231 from one, will it bolt up to the YJ? Spline count, bolt pattern etc? Does it matter if it's pulled from a Cherokee with an auto? Thanks in advance,
Spruce
