To lift or not to lift?

I have a totally stock 95, YJ and basically never go off road. I often feel like a tiny version of a YJ when I am next to a lifted Jeep. What are the cons of a lifted Jeep? Not sure of how large the tires can be without a lift, but is considering a 2" inch lift. Any suggestions for a lift kit that is not too expensive.? Thanks.

My thought is that even if you don't go off-road, a small lift and 31" or 32" tires greatly improves the look of a YJ.

That being said, if it were me, I would put a 2" lift on and pair it with either 31" or 32" tires.

Given OMEs reputation, I'd probably use the 2" OME springs:

And Rancho RS5000X 2" lift shocks (for the best ride):

I second this. Anything more and you will need an SYE and a new driveshaft in the rear.

That will be a good setup. 32s will look good with the stock wheel arches as well.

That's the nice thing about older Jeeps. You can put a 32 under them and it looks proportionate, whereas on a new JL you need 35s to fill the massive wheel arches and look proportionate.
