Trying to figure out what the ticking sound is. Seems to go away when I let off the throttle which makes me think it’s fuel or exhaust related. Any ideas or anyone have a similar issue?

Sounds pretty normal to me for a yj. See if the exhaust shield is secure. Other than that run 1 quart of oil stabilizer from Lucas to quiet down the ticking. Motor molasses is great stuff
