Ordered some more goodies for the Diesel project: Front roll bar floor plates kit. Torque arm for rear axle since I will be exceeding big block V8 torque output specs. front frame plates for stiffening the frame up front. Ford shock towers to install longer front shocks on more articulation. New spring hanger brackets for the 2.5" YJ spring conversion that are much stronger than the spring steel originals. Contemplating doing a shackle reversal although I really don't care for them in the heavy rocks. They are really for street drivers and ride/steering tracking quality on the highway than a performance issue off-road. Jury is still out on this, might not do it to avoid the pitfalls off-roading. Front end is off, TC is taken apart and adapting to fit the ZF 5s-42 transmission. Cleaned up the flywheel and installed the pilot bushing. Just waiting on some ARP clutch cover bolts and Bellhousing bolts so I can attach the transmission to the engine. Mocking up the motor mounts for proper position and preparing to clock the transfer case higher into the frame for a flat tummy tuck while at it all. Possibly buying a 75 Amp Plasma cutter so I can make my own tabs and brackets instead of spending silly $$$ on parts I could easily make with the proper cutting tools on my CAD printer table..... Taking advantage of the Holiday sales going on! RR
