Hi all.
I need to swap out my sway bar links and my word, how hard is it to get that top bolt out!!
I've got the metal pin out, but that nut is just not budging.
Anyone done this and any tips?
I've hit it with a 4lb lump hammer, squirt a tonne of penetrating fluid all over it, tried loosing the sway bar but zero.
It just won't budge. Is it part of the sway bar?
Is it weldwd in?
How do I pull it from the weird nipple side?

Ive recently been suffering from a brain illness and simply dont have the energy to carry on smacking it with a hammer. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all
(Note to self, never buy an American car with no mechanical skills whatsoever, this is not a place for learners haha)

use a tie rod tool and it will come out easy. also i used a torch on rubber, it look like you will be replacing the rubber anyway. jp26, i know you have been in and out of hospital, hope your doing better. one thing that you can count on with a wrangler it will keep you on yours toes for repair and that should help you recover even quicker. good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Diesel, ive thrown the towel in and I'm having it towed to a mechanic to get it back to good health and swap out the links! . I'm just not fit enough at the moment haha. Shame as I've done everything else on it but hey, safety comes first. Doing better day by day and seeing specialists so hopefully not too long until I'm a danger to the public and back on the streets!! I'll keep you posted on the progress as it also failed its MOT on emissions and I'm at the limit of what I can do t
o fix the misfire and the back smoke. Time to call in a real mechanic. Cheers for the advice so far.
