Hi all… ‘93 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L/4cyl… 126k miles.

The Jeep has sat for close to the last 15 years. I’m assuming many of the seals are not in great shape. I’ve got a small oil leak on the passenger side. I’ve replaced the valve cover gasket bc that was relatively easy. Still have a leak but may be slightly better. I noticed that the oil pressure sending unit was spitting a little bit of oil out of the connector so I replaced the unit w/ one from Napa (although I couldn’t tighten down as much as I’d like… Close but didn’t seem to go into 90 degree elbow quite as far as the old one). No oil is coming out of the connector any longer. But, still noticing wet spots on the left side of the engine block down low, including on block under/around where the oil pressure sending unit screws into the 90 degree elbow that goes into the block itself. I don’t think it’s old oil that heating up when engine has been running. It’s not a ton but enough that makes me think something isn’t quite right. There’s also oil back where the dipstick goes into the block… a bit more in that location.

The oil pressure stays around 40 on the gauge when driving (which I’m assuming is normal?), but then drops under 20 when stopped at a light. When I accelerate, it comes back up to ~40. Is this normal? Should the pressure drop under 20 when stopped? If not normal, causes for such a drop?

As for the leaks, I’m looking at the oil pan gasket as a potential culprit. I’ve also got oil coming down the backside of the oil pan and ending where the drain plug is. Again, not a ton, but almost like an oil trail. Guessing that could also be the oil pan gasket or potentially the rear main seal. I think the oil pan gasket is a job that I could do myself… less confident on the RMS. Appreciate any thoughts/guidance.
