Hi y'all. I'm not getting any cranking after I swapped a 5.7 hemi into my 1995 YJ. My dash somewhat works: when I put on my turn indicator both lights blink, and when I try to crank the engine the parking brake light lights up. My battery is wired to the starter, and (what I believe is) the starter wire doesn't get any power. Could I be using the wrong wire? With the 2.5L, the starter was on the passenger side--there only seems to be a ground and what I believe is the starter wire. This is all connected near the wires that lead to the transmission and transfer case. Could it be because I don't have the alternator wired up? There seems to be some grounds there, but I can't find much information about it. I'd be jerryrigging it anyway, since I have an internally regulated alternator on the new engine. All fuses in both fuse boxes have been tested.
