I have a 91 YJ with a 2.5 I noticed oil leaking through the timing chain cover so I removed and went to AutoZone and bought new gaskets went to reapply the cover and the water pump will keep it from going on do I need to remove the water pump to put it back on how come I didn't have to remove it to take it off

Honestly not picking at you.....But the rule I stick to from experience is as follows, Auto Zone is only good for fluids, Filters etc. If you get into replacement parts/seals/gaskets for your engine and drive train, Pony up the extra and get them first from NAPA, And then and only if NAPA can't help in order, O'Reilly's
