Hey y’all,

I’ve had my yj since I was 16 yrs old and I am 28 now.

It’s been sitting with a busted clutch for some yrs now, but I wanna get her back up and going. I wanted to hop on and see what everyone would recommend I do to make her fresh and clean again.

Maintenance, replacements, etc…..

What year is it?

I'd start by draining the fuel, replacing gaskets and seals, new spark plugs, carb rebuild (if it's got a carb), new fuel filter, new oil, all new fluids, etc.

Have you already fixed the clutch? If not and it has an internal slave cylinder may be a good time to swap over to a more serviceable external slave cylinder. Get a fresh battery too so after you get the fluids changed and fuel clean as mentioned in above post you can get her cranked over. My starter was bad after mine sat for 10 years so that may be suspect but easy to change. After you get it started and clutch working take it to a good local tire and brake shop as you will certainly need fresh tires. Cheep insurance for that shop to give your brakes a once over and do brake fluid flush and proper bleed. They should do alignment at that time as well. Enjoy the ride!
