Hello everyone, I been away for quite a while but find myself needing advice.
87 YJ, 2.5 all standard parts.
Fuel pressure in the tank is out of control, so much it’s whistling through the cap ( new, vented).
This has been a ongoing thing but since moving to hot country and it being summer things are bad. It will cause the engine to quit until you open gas tank (cap) then runs fine till pressure builds back up.
Now I rebuiltthis Jeep some time ago and I’m wondering what would happen if I got the lines from the fuel pump reversed, would it still run and cause this problem?
Also is there a vent from the tank to outside? The cap vent lets air in not out.
Thanks,
The Old Guy
