When I have my front axle locked (manual PTO cable lock,) and the transfer case in 2 Hi, there is a high pitched noise coming from the right wheel. I first though it's probably a bearing, but if I unlock the axle the noise goes away, or if I shift the transfer case into 4, it goes away. It's only there if I have the axle locked AND the transfer case in 2 wheel drive, and it only does it when I'm going slow, it makes no noise going down the road. Is this still a bearing issue, or is something else going on? There is no unusual vibration or anything, just the noise. With other vehicles I've had, when a wheel bearing goes bad it seemed to 'growl' when going down the road, none of that here. Any thoughts?
