I got a new driveshaft for my 94 yj. After finally getting it (they changed the delivery date 4 times) I went to put it in but it wouldn’t fit. I measured both center to center and measurements are correct. I can jack rear-end up and put the driveshaft in but it is in the fully compressed position. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you just got the wrong shaft.
Was this an SYE install and off the shelf CV shaft?

I have a similar situation for different reasons, but I'm running it for now and haven't had any problems.
Replaced both driveshafts custom built from Tom Woods and initially they fit perfectly.
But that was before I discovered the bent D35, it got replaced with a D489 which has a longer pinion.
I was praying that there would be enough compression so I wouldn't have to have it shortened, just to put it back again later.
An SM420 conversion is in my future, and it's shorter than the AX5.

Yes have the sye installed and ordered the shaft from rough country my jeep guy says this is the right shaft
