Hey my names Trevor, I have an 88 YJ and im putting a 1.5 inch suspension lift on it. Do I need longer shocks?? All I have found are a set or two of 1"-2" lift rear shocks and nothing for the front but stock height, 1", and 2" or larger lifts. Will the stock ones work or do I need to swap them and if so, what should I use size wise?

Yes, if you're lifting it with longer springs, you need longer shocks to match.

What shocks are you looking at? For instance, Rancho shocks are notorious for running long, so their 0" RS5000X shock would actually probably work well for a 1.5" lift.

Looking at all different brands, nothing specifically says they are for a 1.5 inch lift. Ill look at the Rancho ones, any other ones off the top of your head run long?

Ranchos are the only ones of I know that run long, but that doesn't mean there aren't others.

The 0-2" Rancho RS5000X shock would be perfect for your application.
