I have been getting a 54 code on my ‘95, 2.5L, 5 speed, 188k mileage.
The CEL does not come until after I’ve driven about 5-10 minutes.
I replaced the O2 sensor about 2-3 years ago.
Replaced CPS, air intake valve, temp sensor, camshaft sensor, & ignition coil. Cleaned my throttle body. I have pressure on injectors.
Checked the distributor cap, looks good. I replaced cap, rotor, & wires after I got the jeep, about 5 years ago.
What else do I need to check or replace to fix code 54.
I’ve disconnected neg. cable but it won’t clear code.
Could my O2 sensor be bad?
Suggestions welcomed.
