AX-5 transmission stuck in gear

The guy that rebuilt it has been doing transmissions for 30+ years so I was confident in his work. I have the shifter out and I can move the linkage down inside where the ball from shifter sets in but I can only move it from the center position to one spot over towards drivers side. It also appears to be back as far as it will go like it’s in 5th but when in goes over that one spot it doesnt change it like it’s in neutral it is still in 5 th.</p></blockquote><p></p>
