I'm trying to do a fuel injection and HEI distributor swap on a 4.2 on the cheap. I've had way too many issues with the stock ignition and Weber carb, just trying to run down the road. That's not gonna cut it when I go 4 wheeling. I'm wondering if anyone has swapped just the 4.0 intake manifold with fuel injectors onto a 4.2, and swapped the computers/wiring, and swapped the gas tank/sender. As opposed to swapping the entire engine, or swapping the head along with everything else I mentioned.
