Drove our yj this morning. Went to go somewhere 2 hours later and it won't start. It will crank, radio comes on, but will not turn over. I don't know much about jeeps, so please be easy on me. I have determined that it is giving the error code 121155. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? This is my tow vehicle for camping and I need to get it running soon.

Ok so "121155" is not one code. It's 3 separate codes.

11: No ignition reference signal detected during cranking (bad hall effect) OR timing belt skipped one or more teeth; or intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor

12: is a common code. Basically, the battery has been disconnected in the last 50 start cycles.

55: "End of Codes" in other words nothing else to report.

So JUST going off the codes it sounds like you could have a Crankshaft or Camshaft sensor issue. Crankshaft is the more common failure of the 2. There is a connector and harness that goes over the back of the intake manifold. If it's missing it's clamp it can rub on the intake manifold and short the harness out causing an issue. Could also be the sensor itself but too often these are replaced for no reason.

I would start off inspecting that harness at the back of the intake manifold then go over your battery and ground cables. These sensors all work off of a 5 volt reference signal and if the battery and ground cables have never been replaced (they should be done every 5 years or so) it could be causing issues with your sensors as well.
