Not that I could hear. Would a pilot bearing make a grinding noise if it was going bad.

Yes drive shaft spins free in 2wd.

The vacuum actuator is still on the jeep if it works or not I am not sure. I will check that tomorrow.

I have not checked that yet I rebuilt the transfercase then the transmission still chasing this problem. The front end is my next project. Was hoping someone may have had the same issue to point me in the correct direction to fix it.

Hello everyone I have been working on this jeep for a bit and can not figure out what this noise is. While driving between 30 and 45 mph there is an audible gringing noise somewhere either in transmission or transfercase it has 146k miles on it so I figured transmission so I rebuilt it replacing...

Thats it I have taken that thing to several transmission shops and nobody has had a clue thank you.

Hello hoping someone can help I bought a ax15 that was torn apart in boxes I have gotten it mostly put back together but have a small plastic piece that I have know idea where it goes. I have watched several videos online and none show this part. I don't know if maybe it doesn't belong or not...
