Have a 1989 Carburated YJ and it's been Frankensteined to death It skips and pops and lurches... Im thinking of may wanna swap a different engine in with fuel tank injection... I need a cheap solution. Any suggestions?

I'm having a similar issue... it starts a little rough but then idles great... when i pull off it bucks and lurches. If I stand on the accelerator it pulls fine but if I try to operate at a moderate pace it bucks again... I can hurry thru the gears till about fourth and it smooths out but mostly...
