Where are the good seats for cheap?

Need new front seats for my 95 Wrangler SE. What site(s) has the best seats for the best price? Also, pros and cons of vinyl vs denim. To narrow down that list, I live in a desert environment (very little annual rainfall, but when it rains, it POURS!). We average about 365 days of sunshine every year. The temps are usually above 100 F from about mid June through September and 30s and below from about mid November through February. We get a few weeks in between with decent temps. Very low humidity year 'round (Avg about 10 - 20% +/-). So, taking all that into consideration, which kind of seats do you recommend? Considering I have a white Jeep with black top, I figured black seats, but what's the opinion of the group?
 
That’s a tough one. I have yet to find a single seat for sale in the aftermarket that I deem worthy of sitting in. If it came down to it, I’d probably reupholster my stock seats.
 
In that environment I slap on some good seat covers. My 91 had Bestop seats and I didnt care for them. If it matters im 240 6'3", they felt good for a smaller framed person.

Which seat covers did you use? The problem I have with seat covers is they tend to slide off the seat as I get in. Are there ones that stay put as you get in/out?
 
Cabelas had some $20 specials that were excllent for the money. Did they wad up sometimes, yes. Based off what Ive seena nd was in the wifes Tacoma ones like Wet Okole are top notch. But..they cost as much as seats do.

My experience with most aftermarket seats is they have a lot of thigh bolstering and you usually wind up with the steering wheel rubbing your legs and your head almost touching the top. Also lower cost seats you WILL see accelerated side bolster wear just from getting in and out of them. I splurged on Corbeau Moabs and have been mostly happy with them, even though I had to buy the bracket for the driver's side that lowered the seat to fit in the Jeep properly.

I looked at having my stock seats reupholstered. It was prohibitively expensive even at a mom-and-pop shop, and the material to recover the seats in my XJ "Country" for instance isn't even available anymore.

Yeah, I say I would reupholster mine, but I’m not sure I actually would. It is crazy expensive for what it is. At this point I threw some bestop covers on mine and pretend they’re fine. I hope to do that for a while. Not really a fan but I don’t know what else to do.

Ebay, craigslist and fb marketplace. Look for used factory in good shape. Every once in a while they come up. I scored a great set of Rio grande seats for $150 for front and back. As somebody mentioned, Corbeau made me feel like Dino from the flintstones.
 
Some of the locals near me have been happy with Chevy Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire seats. Getting harder to find in good shape these days.

If you have the coin Wet Okele seat covers will buy you another year or more if you garage park it. I put them over some WJ seats I swapped into my XJ. They've held up well since 2018. I'm just now getting to the point I'm looking at replacing the seats again.

Yeah, you have to get their bracket. Add another 150 dollars or so to the cost of going to Corbeau. But At least I'm back at "normal" level. And it also eliminates the offset the factory brackets had.

It had 10 year old Wet Okoles in it when I bought it, and they were in immaculate shape due to grandpa never taking the hardtop or doors off. I immediately took both off when I got home and never put them back on unless storms were coming. That said, they burned up and got all dry and nasty in about a year and a half.

They also made me sweat really bad on any day that was remotely warm, so I didn’t love that. Eventually I took them off, and my then pristine seats started to take the beating. They’re still in fine shape, just not pretty. But I’m not going to do anything about it for a while.
