Hi! I recently bought a 1987 wrangler th 6cyl manual. I hate the tall tires it has and need some advice from you guys. I would like to make this my daily driver and go off-roading a few times a year. What size tires would you guys recommend? Thanks!

What sized tires are currently on it?

Your Jeep could beneift from some factory leaf spring shackles, time to get rid of those aftermarket long shackles.

Crown automotive offers factory replacments or ebay for genuine factory ones.

I would highly suggest an A/T tire if it's mostly driven on-road with only occasional off-roading. A BFG KO2 or a Goodyear Duratrac are both great tires.

I would also strongly encourage you to stay with a 31" tire if it's mostly driven on-road. For a 31" tire, a 2" to 2.5" lift is perfect.

I agree with Chris, but also...

My choice for my YJ....

Wildpeak A/T3W LT (Snow Peak Rated)

or...

M+S (but not Snow Peak Rated)...

KELLY® SAFARI TSR Tires

I have this tire on my 2006 LJ Rubicon and always been happy with this choice.... great reviews too.
