Stroker question

New here.... I have a '87 yj with a 4.2 I want to know what yr of block n head is best to use to build a stoker? I do have a 94 4.0 would this work? It's just going to b a driver not for off-road or rock climbing don't want to go over board on it. Plus I want to keep the carb on it. Or should I keep it a 4.2 with some mods what r ur thoughts???

However, I'm under the impression that they use the 4.0 engines from the TJs and bore / stroke them, as I believe that the TJ 4.0 engines are superior in most ways.

It's worth calling Golen and seeing what they say though.

I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will chime in on this thread as well.
