Hi all, need some help from the pros. I recently acquired a 1992YJ and want to install some stock sidesteps and need to know whether I should use- thread cutting bolts after I drill the holes or nutserts. Attached are two pictures of what I will be installing. I found these on YouTube, but it’s the same step that I will be installing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would say thread cutting bolts, too.
They offer minimal molestation to the frame.
The problem with riv-nuts is they need such a large hole, though I use them exclusively on anything sheet metal.

Right on. Thanks for the input. I wanted to go with thread cutting but was not sure the frame was thick enough. And, they are easier to install.
Thanks again.
