Got a 95 YJ Rio Grande at the end of 2021. It had been sitting at least 4 years and before that it was on a farm, or so legend has it. I spent every chance I got last summer just fixing rust. New rear crossmember, new gas tank support, the other crossmember, leaf springs, shocks, fuel pump, fuel filter, body mount bushings, cleaned and painted the rear axle, new rear drums and brakes with lines, new rear bumper and welded in new rear frame pieces. By September I had all the rust fixed in the rear. This summer I'll work on the front.

The rest of the frame is solid. It had a soft top that was open to the weather for years. for me at that time a frame replacement was not possible, moneywise or timewise.
