Hello I am glad to be a member of the YJ community. I have mostly been working on getting the Jeep to run right and the proper maintenance TLC it needs. Changed a few sensors and added 4 port injectors and what a difference it made. Enjoy the before and current photos. I live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu so I will try and get some scenic shots in the future.

Looks like a clean little Jeep. Have you had it a while? The second pic looks really old, but maybe it's just the way it looks with the sun and lighting and such.

Only had it for a few months. Had to clean up a little rust, treat floor, and put some bed liner for protection. It just needed a little maintenance that it hadn’t seen in a while. Other than that a few cosmetic things the Jeep runs like a top. She is 1995 with a 4 banger and manual trans.

@redbullet might just do that, because it’s bowed anyways. I have been looking for used front and rear bumpers though. Not going to buy a new one because shipping an oversized item to Hawaii cost an arm and a leg.

Just need to wire the fog lights up, but don’t look too shabby. Also need to find a good spot to mount the tow hooks.

Nice build, nice Jeep! What soft top is that? and do you like it as compared to the OEM soft top?
I have installed the rampage frameless soft top. I can’t really compare it to the OEM soft top since mine had a bikini top and cargo net when I bought it. I think if you are into putting down the whole top then OEM is better. I have half doors so removing those is enough air flow for my climate. The rear windows can be removed easily too. And if I wanted to remove the whole top it wouldn’t take too long but I’d rather just leave it. The look of the frameless top IMO is better then the OEM top. So it is really up to what your going for in your Jeep.

Been a while since I’ve been on the forum, but since I took a little time off recently got the Jeep in the garage to address some issues. So far got the rear suspension up to all button up with new struts and the boomerang shocks. Decided to remove the rear track bar, but may keep the front however undecided. I have to pretty much change about everything to do with steering up front. Since the rear was so fun I decided to start on taking out manifolds to replace the gasket and add the pace setter header. Found I had a broke engine mount so replaced it while I was in there. I have the manifolds torqued down now but need to address some vacuum lines then I’ll throw on the new drive belt so I can put the power steering pump back on. Got a few other things I’m doing, but I’ll save some of that stuff for my next post.

I finished connecting the exhaust this evening. Still need to figure out the hanger for under the skid plate, but thinking I may cut it off the old down pipe and attach it with a clamp. The rear muffler hanger rubber is wore out too so I went and ordered a new one of those. I’ll probably post a sound clip after I get the cold air intake installed for your enjoyment.

The intake is installed after a few trails and tribulations. I am going to install the forward most hanger under the skid plate before I fire it up though. Then on to fixing the front suspension and steering.

What a pain that was removing all the steering components. Some were easy but after hours of soaking in PB blaster I got off the stubborn ones for the tie rod. Gonna come back to the sway bar links later on. I wasn’t going to take off the track bar in the front, but now that it’s off probably will stay that way. I am also glad I paid a little more for all brand new components of the tie rod, because I’m sure that would have been fun too.
