I was having some seeping of oil at the axle where the vent attaches as well as at the differential drain plug suggesting that the breather vent is perhaps dysfunctional or some other blockage.
So I got up in there and messed w the vent. The vent cap seemed to jiggle around easily. Didn't seem stuck as I could move it up/down/sideways. Does that sound right? I really don't want to take it down all the way but maybe I have to. See pic looks ok to me at least. Not sure how to assess it's full patency, maybe stick a bike pump on the axle end and see what happens.
Also checked the axle side. Looked patent there as well.
Also Ordered another diff drain plug bc maybe mine is losing shape or something.
