Super stoked to be here - working on my first YJ restoration and I have NO idea what I'm doing. Any and all help is welcome! TIA!

There she is - her last visit to the beach...and all the rust and damage on the frame where I am focused now on replacing!!!
Hoping to get her stronger than ever so the shenanigans can continue!

If u have access I'd either sand blast frame or whiz wheel it then clean prep for por 15 an put it on heavy an you will be good with frame. Thats if no hidden surprises like rot. My jeep came from VA it was part of VA Beach jeeps.

Fix that frame rust and you'll have a really nice YJ! A media blaster, some prep and paint, and you'll be good as new :)

I got the frame repair kit from ebay, about $35. This remedies the severe rust at the very back of the frame. Get a professional to install it for you. I also used a few cans of Eastwood Internal frame coating. Try to spray out as much loose scale with a pressure washer first, allow to dry thoroughly, and spray the INSIDE of the frame. I also like Rustoleum Rusty metal Primer, about $40 a gallon to coat the outside of the frame. Finally, spray with Eastwood black. Hope this helps. Good luck - Jim.
