Hello everybody. It has been a long time since I have been here. My heath issues forced me to put the brakes on work on my 94 YJ. Finally got feeling better and ready to continue. I have a question for you guys. I am looking for an Instrument panel dimmer switch for my 94 YJ and can find any. Checked with my local dealer and they told me that they don’t have it either. Any suggestions? I have a machine shop and I can make whatever brackets I need to fit one if necessary. I had seen them everywhere, they look like mine but everybody says they are not compatible with the YJ.. They seem to miss the clos that snap it in place but I could take care of that if it would work..

The instrument panel dimmer switch can be a bit tricky to track down.

Thanks for the quick answer. The switch that I have right now but I am a bit abal when it comes to what I use for the car.. I found one n Davey’s but it looks in a worse shape than the one that I have. I have found a few at my lhouse cal auto parts store but they didn’t have that mounting bracket. Other than that they look identical.. mak Ng that bracket wouldn’t be an issue for me.. So I think that I would buy one that is brand new and just plug it into that socket just to see if it works.. If it dies t, I will just return it. I returned few other electrical parts to them before and they took them back..

You can use part# A1507. A GM dimmer switch on amazon. Only caveat is you have to swap the little metal bracket over, and it's "upside down" so to speak. It dims and a brightens the opposite direction of the factory one so it won't match up with the little graphic on the dash. I have it in my jeep and it doesn't bother me.
