Ok, fire away on my rookie question. Drove in snow in the Sierra for decades and never used chains, never even owned them. Now we're in a place where we'll possibly need to install them on one of our vehicles for the wife to get to town. So...I have cable chains that fit the jeep good and a set of Qucikgrip QG2828 super road killer chains that fit all three vehicles. But I have something like 5 extra links on the outside. What to do with them?? The chains are older buy new and look like Quick grip has upgraded the outer latch to hold extra links perhaps?
