Have a painless complete harness to rewire my 1990 YJ buy 4.2l in it is EFI and cannot find the replacement harness can I acquire or should I convert to carbureted??? This is beast of a project

I've done the same with my 87 yj 2.5L. Mine has TBI and it was a bear to figure out. I can't say if it's better to go with changing to carb or not. My painless harness wasn't a direct fit so alot of schematic time spent for me sin e I'm not really an electrician lol. I also ended up using the original harness from the PCM since they were still in great shape.
 
I feel you brother. All I have left on mine is running the power wiring to the starter solenoid and figuring out those dang fusible links! I'm fairly confident it will be ok. The painless install book and labeling system makes it alot easier. I'm still going to keep a couple fire extinguishers nearby when I finally hook up the battery 😆
