    It's transition time again

It's time to swap back to the hard top for a few weeks, so I scrubbed the soft top clean, dried it off and moved it into the storage unit. ...but its not snowing yet, so the jeep is tarped in the driveway. Gotta drive around topless for a few days before the winter lid gets installed. It's a...

I thought the dash speakers sounded like crap

They were pretty rough, had holes and made all kinds of horrible sounds when it was over half volume. A quick trip to the stereo shop and some hand contortions, it sounds much better now. d

    My thoughts on swaybars

Last October, I was out wheelin and bent the driver side swaybar pin. It was twisted pretty good and made it impossible to reconnect the sway bar. I bought a new u bolt plate but just never got around to installing it. I drove around with the swaybar disconnected for 6 months with no problems...

I horse traded for a set of upper sliders

Not in perfect condition but they're passable. 👌 I cleaned and tuned a pair of Yamaha V-Star carbs and was paid a pair of TJ upper sliders😎 I don't think I'd pay 750 bucks for a set of these, but 2 ½ hours labor after work seems like a good deal.

    Driver side door wont open

95 Wrangler with full doors. I was doing some dumb s#!t flexing over obstacles and when I was done the door was stuck. ...really stuck. I reached inside with a slim jim and tried actuating the internals, but it sure didn't work. I've tried to open it every way I can think of. it won't open...

    Yukon Gear sale

Not affiliated or anything. If not allowed 🚫 Go ahead and remove. I recently blew up my rear end. Fortunately, Yukon is having a sale, tomorrow only. I don't know what's included or excluded. I don't know what kind of pricing will be offered. I do know I'll almost certainly be buying some...

    Too much skinny pedal?

Dont crank the heavy metal when you're trying to crawl over concrete blocks. 3000 rpm clutch dump carnage.

    Auxiliary backup light

This is a 7" light bar from Amazon. It lasted about a year and a half before it burned out, but it cost about 10 bucks and takes 10 minutes to swap out. I was replacing it and decided to post a couple pics. The brackets are made out of a flat piece of aluminum, bent to shape. This mod was cheap...

I just replaced my Red Top Battery. It was almost $300 after tax 😲 That's about a hundred bucks more than the last one I bought 💸💰💲🤷 Just Empty Every Pocket 😓

    Soft top storage

It's about time to switch to hard top mode. looking for cheap easy soft top storage solutions. I might be able to lay the windows flat on a piece of ply wood up in the garage rafters with ...something? between them to keep them from scratching and sticking. fold up the top? roll it up? lay...

Will TJ sliders fit my hard top properly?

My buddy got a wrecked TJ from the auction and it has uppers with sliding windows. I know the rear pin would need modified to fit in the doors but I'm not sure how it would fit in the opening. I think I can get them for a good price. Has anyone done this? Or seen it done? I was thinking about...

Stereo stays on after key is off

My stereo stays on for about 2 seconds after the key shits off. The music just keeps playing. It has done this the entire time I've owned the Jeep. Kinda like the windshield wipers; I've just gotten used to it. Somebody recently pointed it out to me, and I was (like) "yeah, I guess that is...

    Speedway beadlock rings?

Any thoughts on running weld in beadlock rings for dirt track cars? I don't rock crawl just looking to drop pressure below 12psi. My tires are already rotating on the wheel as is. I was thinking the lighter weight would be better for my axles, then align the tire to center and captured nuts...

    Broken multi-function switch

So this happened: I signaled right, and she broke clean half in two. Windshield wipers turned on and started spraying washer fluid. Washer was on for 3 blocks. Finally got the wipers and washer to shut off. Not sure if the column has to come apart or what. That sucks

Scored some cheap uppers off the Marketplace today

25 bucks with the frames I was screwing around fixing one of the Zipper pulls , and and was thinking 🤔 "These must be some cheap Chinese off brand, cuz there's no tag." Then I looked a little closer not too bad for a 28 year old pair of windows .

Nothing wrong with the fuel pump

I'm just paranoid about getting stranded up in the mountains. So I decided to cut an access panel in the floor. I still have the pump that was in the Jeep when I bought it, it was still working fine. I figure I'll find a place to stash the spare pump and if I ever need it, it should be an easy...

    Best floor pan patch panels?

I have a little rust in the driver's floor pan and was thinking about ordering a repair panel. The rust us minimal and is directly related to the carpet staying wet. Plan is to patch the rust and spray raptor liner in the front half of the pan. Jeeps probably shouldn't have carpet. Who has...

Thinkin' pretty hard about some TJ rear fender flares

I acquired as decent set of TJ flares and am considering cutting the rear wheel wells ro fit them. I know this has been done plenty but with yjs apparently loosing a bit of popularity, I am having a hard time finding a decent writeup. My inclination is to scoot them back as far as possible...
