The jeep looks great. Nice work. I'm not of fan of the front bumper end caps but otherwise i think you did a great job bringing it back to stock! (y)(y) The tire/wheel combination looks great as well.

Where are the good seats for cheap?

Ebay, craigslist and fb marketplace. Look for used factory in good shape. Every once in a while they come up. I scored a great set of Rio grande seats for $150 for front and back. As somebody mentioned, Corbeau made me feel like Dino from the flintstones.

1995 Rio Grande (just inherited it)

Pressure washer and new tires, that will clean up nicely. A good way to honor your father-in-law. I'm partial to the Rio Grandes.

Is this rust a purchase deal breaker?

Looking at the underside of the right rear frame by the exhaust I think that's a no go. That is eventually going to be an expensive repair or structural failure. I had a '79 CJ-7 where the frame rotted both sides in that very spot, we welded it, but it was a lot of blood, sweat and beers...

Is this rust a purchase deal breaker?

Damn. I'd say that looks pretty good by New England standards. The rear crossmember looks a bit crusty but could be cut out and welded in. I'd say you could probably do better in the south but I'd consider that up here in New England. Price? And more pictures please of the rest of the jeep!

Should I get a hard top or a soft top?

I've had 5 jeeps. Cj's , YJ's, soft top for the win. Hard top is a pain in the ass to take on/off in a hurry, and storing it, etc. Full doors are heavy and cumbersome. Let's face it, Jeeps are primarily fair weather vehicles. Ultimately it's your ride and decision, but if you need to lock...

What did you do in the garage / driveway today?

"...At this point, I'm leaning towards the printed circuit on the back of the gauge cluster to be the problem but I need to shoot the gauge cluster connector to be sure..." Have you tried to clean up the contacts at the bulb and the circuit board? This resolved a problem for me on my gauge...
