Should every YJ owner have a hardtop?

No hard top here in Nova Scotia, Canada. Just a bikini and Bestop OEM type soft top. I run no top or bikini late spring, all summer, and early fall. Early spring/late fall run the soft top. Winter - stored. I'd never use a hard top. If you wanted to daily drive it year round, might be something...

Who is ready to drop 60k on one hell of a rowdy YJ?

Niche market for that rig. Hard pass from me even if it was 6k.

    Notchy Gear Box

I run Redline MT-90 in my 89 (AX) and wow, it is much smoother than whatever was in the transmission before (motor oil I believe). Been using the Redline for a few years now.

Where is the best place to sell my Jeep?

Completely depends on the Jeep and the intended audience. An all original very clean rust free YJ - bring a trailer or similar. A woods beater, craigslist or FB marketplace, something in-between (modified but not a beater), depends on the details and value.

Rear diff clicking sound from 1990 YJ

I had a weird clicking noise once on the right rear. I thought it might have been an axle or diff. Clicking was rotational and regular. Turned out the ebrake cable was too close to the wheel and was clipping a wheel weight every rotation. I never suspected that to be the case but sure was...

    YJ Lighting and Audio

#1 - can't help. Never had them #2 - no cover, but the wiring shouldn't all be hanging down #3 - Door speakers? Someone cut up your panels and added those? Or do you mean in the dash by the doors? For audio, lots of good options. If you want to keep it pretty stock looking like it sounds, then...

1987 Jeep Wrangler Islander With 67k Miles

Nice Jeep - they added the Islander decals - not an actual one. The listing is kind of misleading.

My “new-to-me” 1990 Safari, all original

Welcome. The Sahara was a nice looking package.

    Fuel injection to carburetor conversion

Can't help much there. Probably the reverse of switching the 4.2 to MPFI using the Mopar kit. That or building your own setup. At least probably need the intake from a 4.2? I think I'd be more inclined to determine what is causing your harnesses to burn up and fix that myself.

Problem with my 89 carbureted YJ

Yup, ECM and an ICM too.

Problem with my 89 carbureted YJ

I feel like I read people had similar issues before with a bad ECM - capacitors failed internally. It is potted, which makes it a pain, but repairable with some patience. Or swap it out.

    Fuel injection to carburetor conversion

There can't be many carb'd 4 litres out there! I really can't see why you'd want to do that. The MPFI on the 4L is a very reliable setup and cheap to maintain.

    Sway Bar Link Help

This would be easy without the lift, but with it, determining exactly what you need and finding who makes it is more difficult for sure. Maybe someone makes adjustable links for the YJ? Not sure - mine is all stock. You are correct as to why someone probably disconnected them. For articulation...

    24k mile original owner YJ

Quite a nice Jeep. Price might be a bit ambitious given the one with less than 500miles on Bring a Trailer last week didn't reach that, but you never know

    Interesting YJ Islander for sale

Well that is different. A limited buyer market for that one.

Is it too hard to move vehicles from one Island to another? Looks like it was a good Jeep.

    4.2 FI vs. 4.0 H.O. - impressions?

You are correct - just pulled the part number on the ECU - it is specific to a 4.2 FI. I had always believed it was just a 4.0L ECU. Interesting!

    4.2 FI vs. 4.0 H.O. - impressions?

PCS - quite a bit of information regarding a major build there. That seems to be far over and above what I need though. I don't need it to be fast or a ton of power. Just looking at simple options (and cost effective) that would make things a little more comfortable on the Trans-Canada for short...

My high school self would be impressed with my “new” ‘95 YJ!

To my knowledge, Phoenix Graphics made the original YJ decals. I know they still offer the replacement Islander package as well as Sahara ones so wouldn't surprise me if they still had the others available or could re-print them if contacted.
