Hello fellow jeepers!

I’m taking on a bit of a crazy project — bringing my Wrangler YJ 1995 Sahara champagne and spice interior, back to full original condition, just like it rolled off the factory floor 🥵

So far, I’ve made great progress: tons of online research, original Jeep manuals, serial number decoding, and even picked up a book from Australia — "Jeep Wrangler from 1987" by Robert Ackerson — to make sure everything matches spec.

But I’m still stuck on two parts:

🔹 Factory front fog lights – they’re either impossible to find or way overpriced
🔹 OEM rear spare tire cover

As a last resort for the fog lights, I’m considering 3D-printing the housings. But once I have the correct casing, I’m not sure:

👉 What kind of light unit is supposed to go inside to stay factory-accurate? (size, model, specs?)

If anyone has info, pics, part numbers or tips, I’d really appreciate it. 🤛

Thanks in advance, Jeep fam!
Stan

welcome , you might want to take a look at quadratec, cj pony parts. both have good diagrams of wrangler. good luck

I had the same problem finding fog lights. I eventually went with a pair from Delta (you can see them on my avatar). The hard part was finding clear lenses for them. IIRC, I bought them with amber lenses and then ordered clear replacements directly from Delta. Do you have the mounting brackets already? I had to have those fabricated, but I found a useful diagram for doing so in someone's Jurassic Park build (on a different website, I think).

Due to the Jurassic Park Jeep replicas that many people have built, the OEM Sahara fogs are damn near impossible to find. I too have a 95 Sahara in the same color. When I rebuilt it, I kept all the original parts in case I decide to return it to stock down the road, like you are doing. I have the original fog light housings and mounts but the original light lenses and housings were rusted through on the backs and destroyed.

As Caveman mentioned above, Delta makes fog lights that are a near perfect fit to the originals and were the best thing I could find.

Delta 100 Series Fog Clear Lens

If you need any good photos of the housings, mounts, OEM lenses, etc I have them and am happy to share. I do believe there is somebody who 3D prints the housings to look like the originals but I can't speak to the quality of them. I believe I saw it mentioned in one of the Jurassic Park Motorpool threads

Thank you for your help!

Here is the method I might use:
  1. 3D print the housing (front and back) according to the blueprint I found (.stl)
  2. Get the bracket built -> any provider such as Dog Fox, Kator...
  3. Buy the Delta headlamp (in amber if no choice) => https://www.deltalights.com/100-series-thinline-xenon-fog-light-single-black-/p395
  4. Buy the clear lenses for the above headlights => https://www.deltalights.com/100-ser...ph76uCk43EVY9ujvFMIrrTJyk4FVdcHNCPh1n_hPv7QAZ

However how do I ensure housings are correct size to delta casing, the brackets will match...basically it will all come together? WDYT?

@Plastic Fury: i would love those pictures to help me build the lights

If you do 1, I don't think you will have to do 3, and vice versa. Depending on the cost of the 3D printed housings, the cheapest option might be 1, 2, and 4. I ended up doing 2, 3 and 4, but only. because I found a screaming deal on a new pair of complete Delta 100 series lights with amber lenses on the Amazon Marketplace. But that deal was a blip; I haven't seen it again. One advantage to 2, 3, 4 is that you can be pretty confident that the parts will all fit together without much hassle. And if you can find the clear 100 series lights at a decent price, the easiest option of all is buying a pair of those and then having brackets fabricated (your step 2).
