My Vroom Vroom

Sway bar cleaned up nicely if I don’t say so myself. Got the tie rod and steering dampener all hook up as well. Almost ready to put it back on all fours.

Steering and suspension is finally completed. Now on to struggling with getting these brake line fittings off. I would like to actually get them off but also feel I’ll save time cutting and flaring the lines. I’m replacing the old rubber lines with some longer stainless braided ones. Probably end up adding the posi-lock while the fittings soak in PB blaster. Really was hopeful the connections wouldn’t be that hard to get off but should have known better.

Finally back on the road again! Finished up the brakes today after letting the fitting soak in PB blaster over night. I had to remove the drive side brake line to get a better angle at the fitting. I was thinking about adding brand new lines but then I might as well do the whole brake system if I did. The rubber brake lines were definitely deteriorating as you can see by color of the brake fluid. I did flush and change the fluid when I first bought the Jeep. Didn’t get to add the posi-lock yet so I won’t be 4 wheeling any time soon. My wife told me she wanted it out of the garage so we had our gym back. I had her pumping the brakes so I guess she earned it. Took the Jeep for a spin around the block and making a turn heard a clink clink and thump thump and was like crap I forgot to tighten something down. Got out and saw it was just my water bottle so I was somewhat relieved

Out with the old! Added the CAD Vac delete today; I know there is cheaper methods of doing it but this kit gives me a little more security. Still need to finish the job to get the 4WD indicator to operate, but I have the parts to complete it. While I was under the Jeep couldn’t help but notice some rust already forming on the newly replaced tie rod. Oh well it’s a blessing and curse living near the salt water.

As promised here is a video of my exhaust / intake combo sound note. Apologize you didn’t get a cold start and the mic doesn’t pick everything up. I am pleased with the results and that it’s not too loud. Also the intake gives a nice swooshing sound around 2500 rpm.

Trackbar bushings replaced and reinstalled. I drove around a while without it; not on the trail yet, so couldn’t tell much of a difference. I know it gives more flex, but got to get my annual safety inspection so put it back on. Added a much needed cup holder and also a little assistance for when I get gas.

Nice. Consider taking the plastic cover between the bumper and grill off. I did it on mine and it looks clean.
Mine is also bowed so I am making a new one that will be out of All minim billet and powder coated. Will probably skim cut the high spots of the word Jeep after the powder coat so it will stand out. The Jeep word would look like the picture attached. It is a cover over the “Jeep” standings in each side of the tub.

Definitely unique and I really like your design. I also saw an old Willys recently and it had the same bowed plastic cover.
