I just rebuilt and cleaned the plastic 20 gallon tank on my 1992 YJ. The filler hose and return hose were ordered online. The return hose fits perfect but the filler hose is too short. Has anybody else run into this problem?

Maybe I should've added that when I bought the jeep the previous owner had cut the filler hose by approximately 2 1/2 inches and inserted a piece of PVC. I then purchased the new hoses and that's when i realized it was to short. It is the original tank and there is no body damage or frame damage. Tank is in original location with no modifications as is the filler opening. This is a Canadian built YJ as indicated by a 2 for the first # in the VIN.

I ordered the Omix-Ada one from Amazon and it fit like the OEM. My 92 YJ was also built in Canada and they should be the same. I know that hose will not fit the TJ so maybe they shipped the wrong one.

My vote is it has a body lift. The previous owner put that piece of pvc in there for a reason.

Replaced mine, no issues with this part:
