So I have spend a year fixing, changing, modifying, etc, but it is time to let go. I have my 93 YJ that I paid 6,000 for and have put at least 2,500 in. It has a couple minor things left to be done, which I will do. I have the exterior paint (Durabac dark blue) it is like undercote, that I plan on two tone it with Blue bottom and Gray top.
My wife has back issues and cannot ride in it much less get in it so I hope to sell.

Is it reasonable to expect $8500? I know that is a iffy question, but would like some opinions

Not to insult your jeep but Ive seen trucks locally Id be hesitant to pay $1500 let along the $5000 firm that are on them. Ask your price, you have nothing to lose but some time a deal with a few tire kickers perhaps.

Price it for what you want.........And no matter what you hear, Hold your ground. Someone will come along and give you what you want......It's never failed me.................

10k or more sounds good to me. I am moving on with the painting. Will have to paint in the wee hours of the morning. It is 90 deg. plus in garage during the day.
While I have all the flairs off, is there a best way to clean and restore them. Mine are pretty faded?
Question for "Macho"......I used the expensive red lube in the trans to help with syncro issue, but it didn't change much if any. Wouldn't old fashion 90 weight gear oil work better?
I have gotten pretty good at double clutch, but to sell that may be an issue.

If I run 90ish gear lube in my AX5 its way to hard to shift in winter. If you do make sure its trans compatible lube for yellow metals. MT1 ratings for trannies are for non syncro units. Places like Summit racing sell manual trans specific lubes in several brands.

I am in Florida, so I don't expect cold to effect it. I was just curious.

I'm also in hot humid Florida and I run Redline MT-90 in my 1993 manual transmission. Its safe for Syncro's and yellow metals. Ever since I changed over to using it back in Feb, it shifts noticeably smoother. I also use to get some grinding when shifting into reverse, that went away with the use of MT-90.

I just bought a 1992 Wrangler YJ from I gut I trust. It only had 51,000 miles and he kept it in his garage. I paid $10,000 which I thought was a little high, but the Jeep is in great shape and he takes good care of everything he owns. 4.0 Liter 6, 5-speed, A/C, new tires & wheels, good paint.
