So I have assembled the big parts and have everything out of the donor. I plan to reuse the ax15 and keep this build as mild as possible. I can't find many YJ swaps so I figured I would share. Please hit me up with any advise or questions.

So everyone knows the bolts in the back and front of the heads worked great for pulling the engine. This one came out of a wrecked (no one was injured) police car. Luckily for me the local scrap yard has a complete Grand Cherokee Hemi just in case I need special parts. I hope to have the oil pan and pickup swapped soon. Waiting on parts for now. Bellhousing is for a 96 Dakota. The bolt hole at 3 o'clock needs opened up a hair to line up. Everything else looked great. This is a common issue with these conversion bell housings.

So I have the new main bearing bolts needed (thank dodge dealer). Oil pan should be here next week. Just FYI this fuel filter (Wix 33737) is also a pressure regulator. It maintains 60 psi and is only $22 at Oreillys. Perfect for any swap. It is oem on a 1999 to 2004 Corvette.

Quick update. You will need to convert a car oilpan to truck format if you go that route. All the parts are available on Amazon for $140. Don’t forget the crank main cap bolt that supports the new pick up tube. Mopar item for $8. I don’t think hemi main bolts are tty but why risk it for $8.

So ecm is going out tomorrow for a flash and tune. This will hopefully increase hp, disable the mds, and remove the code key. Thanks to DIYHEMI for the support on this. They cost a little more than others but are specialized in this service. They also include a tune over the skim delete service. Can't wait.

Okay update time. I have the computer back and air filter. Mounted the engine mounts and converted it to rear sump. I have heard of needing an oil filter adapter so you don’t have clearance issues. If you axle hits the filter you have bigger problems. Ps here is a drawing of the adapter needed for the pilot bearing. It mates a hemi to older ax15 (.590) shaft.
