I rebuilding a hard top on my 95 and can't find the liftgate ball studs. It appears they are not manufactured anymore. Any advice on sourcing used ones or a work around for an alternative?

Is it just the ball stud or the upper and lower bracket too for the glass door?

You'll probably have to make the brackets but there's a variety of ball studs out there on Amazon and eBay.

Ya YJ. I'm talking the back window of the hard top. I bought this jeep with the hard but it was missing the back window so I have never seen it together I just assume that it should have struts on it. I ordered a complete window assembly off of ebay should be here the 14th so I guess I'll know more then.

Here's what I have on a true YJ top, not a CJ or TJ conversion.
You'll need to know the ball diameter and offset from the bracket to match the struts. I don't know off hand.

Also look for possible de-lamination of the inner and outer shells of the top where the ball bracket mounts. There's a lot of stress there and mine started to separate. A little JB weld has held it together and it just needs a little white touch up paint.

That's what I had for a while but it seems like i was always wrestling with something on it. IDK maybe I had a bad one. But i figured I'd try the old shell again. Once I get that buttoned up I need to work on the gearing. It's 2.5 with 31's so it needs something shorter.
